Joseph Micotto

Joseph joined WMC in 2024 and brings extensive experience in base metals, battery materials, and critical minerals. As Managing Director, Battery Materials, he leads WMC's cross-commodity team focused on materials critical to electrification and the green energy sector, including EV cathode materials, critical minerals, and copper. He is also responsible for managing price risk for the unit.

Joseph began his career in 2011 in base metals and has worked across the United States, Asia and Europe. From 2011 to 2018, he focused on aluminum, copper and nickel, before establishing the cobalt and minor metals desk at Telf AG. In addition, he has extensive experience in price risk management across the LME, CME, ShFE, and other exchanges.

He holds a degree in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Corporate Innovation from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
